Mercedes-Benz U.S. International in Alabama is offering a paid internship for students in Mechanical, Industrial, or Electrical Engineering. You will support the BiW Supplier Quality team, gather data for reports, and assist with new vehicle launch activities.

Preferred start January 2027. Visa costs covered and housing bonus provided. Requires enrollment in university and minimum 3 semesters, available for 6 months or more.

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in University or gap year between Bachelor's and Master's degree.
• Minimum of 3 semesters of studies in relevant field of study.
• Able to commit for at least 6 months.

Responsibilities

• Support BiW Supplier Quality team by gathering feedback for reports and management meetings.
• Represent team in cross-functional meetings for supplier quality in new vehicle launches.
• Assist with parts maturity projects including color evaluations.
• Plan and organize supplier and internal workshops for model year/new vehicle launches.
• Track standard process KPIs related to project management for launches.
• Help develop training material for systems and reporting apps and onboarding new team members.
• Opportunity for additional projects with independent responsibilities.

Essential Functions:

• Support the BiW Supplier Quality team by gathering feedback to prepare reports, presentations for management meetings, and standardization efforts
• Represent the team in cross-functional project meetings related to Supplier Quality of new vehicle launch
• Assist the team member in different projects to steer the maturity level of parts including color evaluations
• Plan and organize supplier and internal workshops related to model year and new vehicle launch
• Assist with the tracking of standard process KPIs related to project management for model year and new vehicle launches
• Support with development of training material for the used systems and reporting applications and onboarding process for new team members
• Opportunity for additional projects with independent responsibilities and a platform to present on various management levels

Other regular daily tasks:

• Data and system maintenance
• Support team with creation of standard reports

Qualifikationen

Education, Experience and Necessary Skills all must be met in order to qualify for position.

Education:

Student in: Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Electrical Engineering or in a related area, and/or the equivalent combination of education and experience.

Skills:

• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel and PowerPoint)
• Strong organizational and communication skills
• Ability to create reports and PowerPoint presentations
• Ability to analyze and summarize data
• Preferred Skills: Experience with PowerBI, experience in project management, material and manufacturing knowledge

• January 2027

• Paid Internship - hourly rate $18
• Coverage of visa costs
• $700 housing bonus

Requirements:

• Currently enrolled in University or in a gap year between Bachelor'sand Master's degree
• Studies outside of the U.S.A(we are not accepting applications from students who are currently studying in the U.S.A)
