Job summary

Rachel Contracting in Duluth, MN is seeking an Internship Estimator/Project Manager to support bid prep, document control, and scheduling for earthwork and civil projects.

You will coordinate project plans, review documents, assist with takeoffs, and help maintain schedules while traveling light as needed. This role offers hands-on experience in a Midwest contractor environment with a focus on quality workmanship and teamwork.

Qualifications

• Related construction experience and currently enrolled or working towards a college degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or related field.
• Currently pursuing college degree with Sophomore, Junior, or Senior standing.
• Strong oral, written and interpersonal communication skills.
• Demonstrate positive teamwork.
• Dependability: showing initiative and good follow through.
• Solid organizational skills with strong attention to detail.
• Self-starter with the ability to effectively prioritize.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and review project plans to support successful project execution.
• Assist with bid preparation and document management, including quantity takeoffs and review of project documents.
• Assist with developing and maintaining project schedules to keep projects on track.
• Support project management activities for earthwork, demolition, and general civil construction projects.
• Light travel may be required.
