Job summary

Green Worldwide Shipping, LLC in Charlotte, NC seeks a seasoned Business Development Manager to drive revenue by attracting international shipping and customs brokerage clients. You will build and maintain relationships with importers and exporters, translate their needs to operations, and ensure service satisfaction.

Reporting to the local branch, you will negotiate rates, present attractive packages, and guide clients through procedures.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience in shipping and transportation and customs brokerage sales.
• Proven ability to develop and grow a customer base.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Deep understanding of the shipping and customs brokerage industry and opportunities to negotiate favorable terms.
• Aptitude for problem-solving and customer service.

Responsibilities

• Identify and initiate contact with potential clients.
• Negotiate rates and offer attractive packages to obtain new business.
• Attend to detail and delegate effectively.
• Communicate clear operating procedures to operations staff.
• Sell all services to current customers and expand accounts.
• Drive revenue and margin growth across multiple verticals and modes.
• Document daily progression on a CRM.
