Job summary

Goldbelt is seeking a Program Analyst (ECON) to support the Development section by providing programmatic, research, and interagency coordination for foreign policy development, alignment, and implementation.

You will monitor economic policy issues, draft briefing materials, track interagency activities, and prepare analytical reports for senior decision-makers, with emphasis on U.S. interests in the Western Hemisphere.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in international relations, economics, political science, or related field, or two years college plus experience.
  • Four years combined international affairs experience preferred; graduate degree acceptable in lieu of two years.
  • Experience producing concise analytical written products for senior decision-makers.

Responsibilities

  • Monitor and report on economic, development, trade, energy, and related policy issues.
  • Draft briefing memoranda, talking points, and policy recommendations.
  • Track activities of inter-American institutions and technical bodies.
  • Prepare analytical reports on regional economic trends affecting U.S. interests.
  • Support participation in meetings by drafting interventions and background papers.
  • Coordinate with U.S. Government agencies to align policy positions.
  • Prepare summaries of meetings and maintain priority databases.
