Job summary

Based in Washington, DC, the Program Manager will supervise a small team of Program Officers and Coordinators, ensuring adherence to IVLP rules, providing fiscal oversight, and coordinating with U.S. State Department partners nationwide.

The role requires independent judgment, strong funder-facing communication, and experience managing federally funded international programs. The ideal candidate has international affairs experience, excellent written and verbal communication skills, and

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in international education, public administration, international relations.
• Strong organizational and project management skills in deadline-driven environments.
• Experience with federally funded international programs or exchanges.

Responsibilities

• Supervise implementation of IVLP project assignments, ensuring alignment across activities, timelines, and deliverables.
• Develop and monitor program implementation requirements and workflow.
• Lead internal reviews of IVLP project proposals and program books.
• Identify risks and coordinate with senior leadership to resolve issues.
• Review and approve payments; maintain budget oversight.
