Job summary

Vertechs Group is seeking an experienced field engineer to oversee installation, commissioning, operation, and maintenance of our intelligent fluid monitoring systems at overseas project sites. You will monitor performance, analyze data, and provide timely technical feedback to support on-site decisions.

The role requires hands-on experience in oil & gas or industrial equipment, strong English communication skills, and the ability to work in dynamic overseas environments with flexible hours.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or above in Petroleum Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Automation, Electronics, or other related engineering disciplines.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in oil & gas or industrial field equipment, with hands-on field support preferred.
• Proficient in English as working language for overseas communication.
• Ability to understand product principles, system architecture and operating procedures.
• Willingness to travel and work in overseas project environments.

Responsibilities

• Install, commission, operate, and maintain the fluid monitoring system at overseas sites.
• Monitor system performance, collect data, identify abnormalities, and support on-site decisions.
• Provide technical support, troubleshoot, and coordinate with backend teams.
• Deliver on-site application support, guidance, and system training to users.
• Collect customer feedback and optimize product functionality and performance.
• Support sales-related technical activities and project coordination.

Job description

LOCATION

Chengdu, China & Middle East & North America & South America

Job Responsibilities

• Install, commission, operate, and maintain the company’s intelligent fluid monitoring system at overseas project sites in accordance with operating manuals and standards, ensuring stable system performance;
• Continuously monitor system performance, collect and analyze operational data; identify abnormalities, and provide timely feedback to support on-site decisions and technical improvements;
• Provide technical support, responding promptly to technical issues, conducting initial troubleshooting, diagnosis, and emergency handling, and collaborating with backend technical teams to resolve complex problems;
• Maintain regular technical communication with project teams and customers, delivering on-site application support, operational guidance, and system training to improve user experience;
• Collect customer feedback during on-site application and continuously optimize the functionality and application performance of the product;
• Support sales-related technical activities, including technical discussions, project coordination, and contract execution.

Job Requirements

• Associate degree or above in Petroleum Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Automation, Electronics, or other related engineering disciplines;
• Minimum 3 years of experience in oil & gas or industrial field equipment, with hands-on experience in field technical support, equipment engineering, or application engineering preferred;
• Proficient in English as a working language, able to communicate effectively with overseas customers and accurately understand English manuals, technical documents, and on-site instructions;
• Strong learning ability, capable of quickly understanding product principles, system architecture, and operating procedures, and independently performing installation, commissioning, operation, and basic maintenance;
• Strong communication and teamwork skills, high sense of responsibility, and ability to adapt to overseas project environments, on-site work intensity, and flexible working hours.
