Qualifications

• Hands-on backend software engineering experience with production services.
• 5+ years in software engineering, developer tooling, or platform engineering.
• Strong TypeScript and internal tools/API integrations experience.
• Production experience with LLM agents: tool use, retrieval, orchestration, and evals.
• Experience bringing AI-assisted code review or testing into workflows.
• Working knowledge of CI/CD and code review systems.
• Experience with observability tools such as Datadog.
• Strong written communication; can translate pain points into precise specs.

Responsibilities

• Improve our agentic development workflows and turn repetitive tasks into agent skills.
• Own a shared library of skills, tools, and context for engineers' coding agents.
• Identify friction points in AI tooling and improve workflows, tooling, or guidance.
• Track cycle time, token cost, and rework; report impact of changes.
• Make agents the first reviewer of all code and enable automated approvals where possible.
• Build safety nets: tests, deploy guards, and rollback plans.
• Develop Datadog-backed debugging flows and observability improvements.
• Turn incident patterns into runbooks and automation Scout can run.
