Job summary

Prime Healthcare is seeking a Temporary Internal Registry RN for the Day Shift in Evanston, IL. This 12-week assignment offers $60.00 per hour and may extend based on staffing needs.

The RN will support Cardiovascular services, manage handoffs, administer medications, and monitor patients during stress testing, EKGs and heart monitor use, delivering safe, high-quality care. BLS and ACLS are required; BSN is preferred.

Qualifications

• Current and valid state RN license.
• BLS certificate required at hire and maintained.
• Basic Arrhythmia Interpretation within 30 days of hire.
• ACLS certificate required within 30 days of hire and maintained.
• Prior acute care hospital experience preferred.
• BSN preferred.

Responsibilities

• Support Cardiovascular Service line and develop care plans for inpatients and outpatients.
• Oversee patient handoffs, administer medications, and monitor during cardiovascular tests.
• Assist with exercise programs including stress testing and heart monitor applications.

Overview

Temporary Internal Registry Registered Nurse (RN) – Day Shift

Location: Evanston, IL Department: Telemetry Status: Temporary Internal Registry Shift: Day Shift Compensation: $60.00 per hour (Flat Rate)

Assignment Details:

The assignment is expected to last 12 weeks; however, staffing needs will be evaluated on an ongoing basis and may be adjusted based on operational requirements.

Responsibilities

The incumbent functions as a member of the Cardiovascular Service line supporting Noninvasive Cardiology in alignment with Prime Healthcare’s mission and values. Incumbent performs a range of cardiovascular procedures under limited supervision and is responsible for helping to develop and implement care plans and education to assure the smooth, efficient flow of both inpatients and outpatients as care is provided across the spectrum of Cardiovascular Service line and the hospital. Duties include, but are not limited to, appropriate oversight and management of patient handoffs, administration of medications and monitoring of patients during a variety of cardiovascular tests and exercise programs including but not limited to stress testing, ekg testing, and heart monitor applications.

Qualifications

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, TRAINING

1. Current and valid state RN License. 2. Current BLS certificate upon hire and maintain current. 3. Basic Arrythmia Interpretation within 30 days of hire. 4. Current ACLS certificate 30 days upon hire and maintain current. 5. Previous Acute Care hospital experience preferred. 6. Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred.

Pay Transparency

Saint Francis Hospital offers competitive compensation and a reasonable compensation estimate for this role is $60.00 per hour. The exact starting compensation to be offered will be determined at the time of selecting an applicant for hire, in which a wide range of factors will be considered, including but not limited to, skillset, years of applicable experience, education, credentials and licensure.
