Job summary

BluePearl Pet Hospital in East Dallas, TX is seeking a knowledgeable and skilled Veterinary Technician to join their fast-paced Internal Medicine department. The role involves serving as a liaison between internists and clients, handling histories, lab results, and care instructions, and supporting endoscopic and ultrasound procedures.

Responsibilities include anesthesia management, CRI setup, medical math, imaging support, and patient discharge education.

Qualifications

• Knowledgeable and skilled Veterinary Technician for Internal Medicine.
• Strong anesthesia and phlebotomy skills required.
• Ability to liaise between internists and clients regarding histories, lab results, and care instructions.

Responsibilities

• Set up CRI and monitor anesthesia.
• Induce, monitor and recover anesthesia.
• Set up for ultrasound, radiology, and endoscopic procedures.
• Discharge IM patients with basic client education (insulin, SQ fluids, feeding tube demonstrations).
• Assist with obtaining lab samples and preparing X-rays.
