Job summary

BluePearl in Lafayette is seeking a knowledgeable Veterinary Technician for our Internal Medicine department. In this role, you will liaison between internists and clients, discuss histories, care instructions, and lab results, and assist with ultrasound, endoscopy, and radiology procedures.

The position requires strong anesthesia and phlebotomy skills, and provides opportunity to work with a dynamic team while delivering high-quality care to pets.

Qualifications

• Licensed Veterinary Technician required and in good standing.
• Strong anesthesia and phlebotomy skills required.
• Experience assisting with endoscopy and ultrasound procedures.

Responsibilities

• Liaise between internal medicine specialists and clients regarding histories, care instructions, lab results and updates.
• Manage client contact via phone, email, and in person.
• Assist with endoscopic and ultrasound procedures, fill prescriptions, take x-rays and collect lab samples.
