Job summary

BluePearl Pet Hospital in Lafayette, CO seeks a knowledgeable Veterinary Technician to join our Internal Medicine team. This role supports internists, manages client communication, and assists with procedures in a fast-paced environment.

Strong anesthesia and phlebotomy skills are required. The position offers a competitive hourly rate, a sign-on bonus up to $5,000 for licensed candidates, on-call rotation, and opportunities for professional growth.

Qualifications

• Must be a licensed veterinary technician with strong anesthesia and phlebotomy skills.
• Experience with endoscopy, ultrasound, radiology procedures preferred.
• Ability to manage client communications and lab results.

Responsibilities

• Set up constant rate infusions (CRI).
• Calculates all medical math including advanced calculations (mcg/mg, %/mg).
• Induce, monitor and recover anesthesia.
• Set up for ultrasound and radiology procedures.
• Set up and assist with endoscopic procedures (GI, nasal, urinary, airway).
• Discharge IM patients from the hospital, including basic client education such as insulin injections, SQ fluids, and feeding tube demonstrations.
• Additional job duties as assigned.
