Job summary

MedVet in Mountain View, CA is seeking an Internal Medicine Credentialed Veterinary Technician to join our dynamic internal medicine team. You will work with our internists to provide client updates and patient care, focusing on long-term relationships and high-quality outcomes.

You will perform CRIs, anesthesia induction/monitoring, ultrasound/radiology prep, endoscopy support, and patient discharge with client education.

Qualifications

• State Registered Veterinary Technician license required.
• Proficient in medical calculations (drugs, CRI, unit conversions).
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Set up constant rate infusions (CRI).
• Calculates all medical math including advanced and CRI (mcg/mg, %/mg, etc).
• Induce, monitor and recover patients from anesthesia.
• Set up for ultrasound and radiology procedures.
• Set up and assist with endoscopic procedures (GI, nasal, urinary, airway).
• Patient discharge and client education.

We are looking for:

Internal Medicine Credentialed Veterinary Technician

The Internal Medicine team is constantly working with our internists to provide information to our clients regarding patient care, updates and treatments. This is one department that focuses on relationship building as patient care is longer in duration. If you want to combine your love of animals and clients, this is the department for you!

What you’ll do:

• Set up constant rate infusions (CRI).

Who you are:

• State Registered Veterinary Technician license required
• Prior veterinary experience required, previous internal medicine or anesthesia experience desired
• Proficient in calculations (drugs, constant rate infusions, unit conversions, etc.)
• Flexibility with work hours and able to work additional hours when necessary
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Compensation:

This position has an initial hiring range of $30.25 to $44.00 per hour based on skillset and experience.
