MedVet is seeking an Internal Medicine Veterinary Technician Assistant to support ultrasound and radiology procedures, assist with endoscopy, and manage patient histories in a fast-paced emergency and specialty setting.

The role requires prior veterinary experience, strong numerical skills for drug calculations, and flexibility to work varied hours. Candidates must communicate effectively and maintain thorough medical records, ensuring excellent client education at discharge.

Qualifications

• Prior veterinary experience required, previous internal medicine experience desired.
• Proficient in calculations (drugs, CRIs, unit conversions, etc.).
• Flexibility with work hours and ability to work additional hours when necessary.
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Set up for ultrasound and radiology procedures.
• Set up and assist with endoscopic procedures (GI, nasal, urinary, airway).
• Manage appointments, obtain histories and update patient information.
• Accurate and thorough documentation of medical records.
• Patient discharge and client education.

Position

Internal Medicine Veterinary Technician Assistant

Initial hiring range: $16 - $21/hour based on skillset and experience.

What you'll do

• Set up for ultrasound and radiology procedures.
• Set up and assist with endoscopic procedures (GI, nasal, urinary, airway).
• Manage appointments, obtain histories and update patients information.
• Accurate and thorough documentation of medical records.
• Patient discharge and client education.
