Internal Medicine Veterinary Technician

Proposed Schedule: Monday‑Thursday 8a‑5p

The Internal Medicine team works closely with our internists to provide information to our clients regarding patient care, updates and treatments. This department focuses on relationship building as patient care is longer in duration. If you want to combine your love of animals and clients, this is the department for you!

What you’ll do:

• Set up constant rate infusions (CRI).
• Calculate all medical math including advanced and CRI (mcg/mg, %/mg, etc).
• Induce, monitor and recover patients from anesthesia.
• Set up for ultrasound and radiology procedures.
• Set up and assist with endoscopic procedures (GI, nasal, urinary, airway).
• Patient discharge and client education.

Who you are:

• State Registered Veterinary Technician license preferred.
• Prior veterinary experience required; previous internal medicine or anesthesia experience desired.
• Proficient in calculations (drugs, constant rate infusions, unit conversions, etc.).
• Flexibility with work hours and ability to work additional hours when necessary.
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast‑paced environment.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
