Job summary

Veterans Health Administration, Department of Veterans Affairs, is seeking a Physician (Internal Medicine) in Bonham, TX. This role focuses on comprehensive primary care delivery within the PACT framework, with emphasis on prevention, chronic disease management, and team-based care.

The physician will lead multidisciplinary teams, ensure high-quality care, participate in education debt reduction programs, and support VA policies and patient safety initiatives in a busy North Texas setting.

Qualifications

• US citizenship or eligibility to work in the US.
• Current, full, unrestricted medical license in a US state/DC.
• Completion of residency program approved by VA (ACGME/AOA) leading to board eligibility/certification.
• Residency training in an approved core specialty for board eligibility.
• Proficiency in spoken and written English.

Responsibilities

• Provide primary care within the VA PACT model and manage chronic conditions.
• Lead multidisciplinary teams to optimize patient care and safety.
• Document care in the electronic medical record and coordinate with specialists.
• Participate in tele-health and patient education initiatives.
