Job summary

St. Luke’s University Health Network is seeking a physician to provide comprehensive medical services in both clinical and hospital settings.

The role focuses on high‑quality, cost‑effective care, adhering to evidence‑based guidelines and actively participating in quality initiatives. The physician will perform histories and physicals, coordinate patient care, and communicate with referring physicians, patients, and families.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited medical school.
• Completion of residency and/or fellowship in the area of specialty.
• Current or recent experience in the area of specialty.
• MD or DO license by state licensure board.
• Board Certified or Eligible in the area of specialty by the appropriate medical board.

Responsibilities

• Perform history and physical examination of all patients.
• Provide cost‑effective, high‑quality care based on evidence‑based medicine.
• Adhere to standardized orders and practice guidelines approved by the medical staff.
• Demonstrate competency in assessment, treatment, growth and development knowledge, and age‑appropriate communication.
• Provide timely communication with referring physicians, patients, and families.
• Participate in patient and family education.
• Evaluate and implement patient health care needs.
• Review lab results and plan actions accordingly.
• Coordinate patient care and make referrals to physicians, nurses, psychologists, nutritionists, and other professionals.
• Collaborate and communicate with other professionals regarding patient care.
