Job summary

St. Luke's University Health Network is seeking a physician to provide general medical care in both practice and hospital settings. The Physician will deliver high-quality, cost-effective medical care and participate in quality and performance improvement initiatives.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited medical school with residency and/or fellowship in area of specialty.
• MD or DO licensed by the state licensure board.
• Board Certified/Eligible in the area of specialty by the appropriate medical board.

Responsibilities

• Performs history and physical examination of all patients seen.
• Provide cost-effective, high-quality care based on best practice evidenced based medicine.
• Make best efforts to adhere to standardized orders and practice guidelines approved by the medical staff.
• Collaborates and communicates with other professionals, nurses, physicians, and outside agencies regarding patient care.
• Initiates treatment via prescriptions, diagnostic tests, exams and procedures.
• Teaches wellness habits and educates patients on prevention of potential health problems.
