Job summary

Urban Health Plan in the Bronx, Queens, and Manhattan seeks Internal Medicine Physicians to provide comprehensive primary and specialty care as part of a patient-centered team.

We offer a full-time, employee position with eligibility for loan repayment, generous time off, 401K, malpractice coverage, CME support, relocation assistance, and flexible schedules.

Qualifications

• MD/DO degree from an accredited medical school and completion of residency.
• Board Certified in Internal Medicine or equivalent.
• Valid NY State license, CDS, DEA, and BLS certifications.
• Strong interest in community healthcare.

Responsibilities

• Provide medical care to treat, prevent and diagnose illness.
• Examine patients and interpret tests to assess medical status.
• Prescribe treatments and vaccines and explain results to patients.
• Collaborate with non-physician providers (NP, PA, CNM, etc.).
• Maintain licensure and practice standards in NY.

Job Description: Seeking Internal Medicine Physicians to provide medical care to treat, prevent and/or diagnose illness, disease, or injury. Examine or conduct tests to provide information on medical status. Analyze records, reports, test results, and/or examination information to diagnose medical condition of patient. Prescribe/administer treatment, therapy, medication and/or vaccination. Explains procedures and discusses test results on prescribed treatments with patient. Advise patients and community concerning diet, activity, hygiene, and disease prevention. Collaborate with and supervise non-physician providers (NP, PA, CNM, etc). Perform other job-related duties as required by departmental needs/demands.

Experience and Skills:

• MD/DO degree from an accredited medical school and completion of accredited residency program
• Board Certified
• Valid NY State license, CDS, DEA, andBLS
• Understanding of and passion for Community Healthcare is preferred
