Job summary

Kernodle Clinic in Burlington, NC seeks a Registered Nurse, Licensed Practical Nurse, or Medical Assistant Floater to support the Internal Medicine department. This full-time role requires CMA certification or RN/LPN license and BLS, with EPIC experience a plus.

The position covers multiple duties across intake, examinations, injections, diagnostic testing, and EMR documentation, with a Monday–Friday 8:00 a.m.–5:00 p.m. schedule and a patient-focused, team-based environment.

Qualifications

CMA Certification, RN OR LPN License required.
BLS through AHA required.
EPIC experience a plus.

Responsibilities

Prepare exam rooms and assist with patient intake, including measuring and recording vital signs, weight, height and medical history.
Room patients in a timely and professional manner.
Assist provider with examinations and procedures.
Administer injections, immunizations and medications as directed.
Perform diagnostic tests such as EKGs and vision screenings with providers order and review.
Collect and prepare specimens for laboratory analysis.
Maintain accurate and timely documentation in the EMR EPIC system.
Ensure exam rooms are clean, stocked and organized between patients.
