Job summary

Kernodle Clinic is seeking a patient-focused health professional for a full-time Nurse Practitioner? (correct role: Registered Nurse, Licensed Practical Nurse OR Medical Assistant Floater) to support the Internal Medicine team in Burlington, NC.

This role requires CMA certification or RN/LPN licensure with BLS and EPIC familiarity. Work hours are Monday–Friday, 8:00 a.m.–5:00 p.m., with duties across intake, examinations, and patient care.

Qualifications

CMA Certification or equivalent clinical certification is required.
RN or LPN license is required to practice.
BLS through AHA is required.
EPIC experience is a plus but not required.

Responsibilities

Prepare exam rooms and assist with patient intake, including vital signs and medical history.
Room patients in a timely and professional manner.
Assist providers with examinations and procedures.
Administer injections, immunizations and medications as directed.
Perform diagnostic tests such as EKGs and vision screenings as ordered.
Collect and prepare specimens for laboratory analysis.
Maintain accurate EMR documentation in EPIC system.
Ensure exam rooms are clean, stocked and organized between patients.
