Job summary

Kernodle Clinic is seeking a patient-focused health professional for a full-time Nurse Practitioner? (correct role: Registered Nurse, Licensed Practical Nurse OR Medical Assistant Floater) to support the Internal Medicine team in Burlington, NC.

This role requires CMA certification or RN/LPN licensure with BLS and EPIC familiarity. Work hours are Monday–Friday, 8:00 a.m.–5:00 p.m., with duties across intake, examinations, and patient care.

Qualifications

• CMA Certification or equivalent clinical certification is required.
• RN or LPN license is required to practice.
• BLS through AHA is required.
• EPIC experience is a plus but not required.

Responsibilities

• Prepare exam rooms and assist with patient intake, including vital signs and medical history.
• Room patients in a timely and professional manner.
• Assist providers with examinations and procedures.
• Administer injections, immunizations and medications as directed.
• Perform diagnostic tests such as EKGs and vision screenings as ordered.
• Collect and prepare specimens for laboratory analysis.
• Maintain accurate EMR documentation in EPIC system.
• Ensure exam rooms are clean, stocked and organized between patients.

Registered Nurse, Licensed Practical Nurse OR Medical Assistant Floater

We are seeking a patient-focused individual for a full-time Registered Nurse, Licensed Practical Nurse OR Medical Assistant Floater position in ourInternal MedicineDepartment at the Burlington Kernodle Clinic location. Previous experience is required. CMA Certification, RN OR LPN License required. BLS through AHA is required. EPIC experience is a plus but not necessary. The schedule is Monday–Friday, 8:00 a.m.–5:00 p.m.

Qualified candidates should demonstrate excellent customer service skills, computer proficiency, and a strong knowledge of medical practices. The ability to multitask effectively while creating a friendly, welcoming environment for our patients is essential.
