Job summary

Responsibilities

Acts as lead for the City’s internal newsletter, with support from other members of the communications team.
Collaborates with team members who lead video production, design and external communication channels, contributing directly to video, photography and publications as needed.
Contributes and updates internal and external website content.
Works with team to develop content for various communication channels, execute the strategy and track results and progress.
Ensures website content is accurate and on-brand, consistent in terms of style, quality and tone, and optimized for search and social promotion.
Assists in the coverage of various special events, including groundbreakings, ribbon cutting ceremonies and City Council events.
