Job summary

The City of Round Rock seeks a Public Information Specialist to join the Communications and Marketing team and connect residents with the stories, services, and initiatives shaping their community.

The role develops written, photo, video, or graphic content and coordinates with departments to deliver timely communications. It also maintains current webpages and supports organizational communications across planning to execution.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Communications, Journalism, or a related field is required.
• Two (2) or more years of creating internal or external communications or similar experience is required.
• Valid driver license is required.

Responsibilities

• Lead the City’s internal newsletter with support from the communications team.
• Collaborate with teams responsible for video production, design and external channels.
• Update and ensure accuracy of internal and external website content.
