City of Round Rock is seeking a resourceful Public Information Specialist to join our Communications and Marketing team. This role develops written and visual content, manages web pages, and coordinates with departments to keep employees and residents informed about city services and initiatives.

Under supervision, you’ll lead internal newsletters, contribute to video, photography and publications, ensure on-brand content, optimize for search and social promotion, and support events coverage

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Communications, Journalism, or a related field is required.
• At least 2 years creating internal or external communications.
• Valid driver license is required.

Responsibilities

• Lead the City’s internal newsletter with support from the team.
• Develop content for written, photo, video, or graphic formats across channels.
• Update internal and external website content and track results.
