Job summary

Pine Street Inn is seeking an internal communications specialist to develop and execute internal communications strategies that engage and motivate over 700 staff across 40+ locations. The role requires strong writing, editing, storytelling and multi-channel delivery to inform staff and support recruitment and retention.

The candidate will collaborate with leadership and cross-functional teams, manage SharePoint content, and leverage analytics to improve communications effectiveness.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in communications, journalism, public relations or related field.
• 2–3 years of experience in internal or public relations communications.
• Proven ability to develop and execute internal campaigns.
• Strong writing, editing and proofreading skills.
• Experience with analytics and metrics.
• Ability to manage multiple projects across many locations.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute internal communications strategy across channels.
• Manage complex internal communications initiatives with cross-department teams.
• Write, edit and distribute content from leadership updates to newsletters.
• Collaborate with ITS to manage SharePoint site and content.
• Monitor metrics and report on performance; suggest improvements.
• Advise on internal communications best practices across the organization.
• Support employee engagement surveys and research efforts.
• Ensure accessibility for staff with limited email access.
• Provide communications support during crises or organizational changes.
