Job summary

Oak Hill is seeking a strategic Internal Communications Manager to serve as a partner across departments, ensuring employees are informed, engaged, and connected. The role is hybrid, based out of our Hartford, CT office, and focuses on building and managing the intranet (SharePoint) and a steady content pipeline.

You will shape workflows, design content, and maintain a strategic calendar to align announcements with initiatives, while collaborating with leadership to turn information into usable

Qualifications

• 5+ years in internal or corporate communications.
• Experience managing projects and cross-functional workflows.
• Proven storytelling across formats.
• Experience with intranets in Microsoft ecosystem.
• Bachelor's degree in communications, journalism, marketing, or related field.

Responsibilities

• Build, deploy, and manage the intranet (SharePoint) for Oak Hill and our affiliates, ensuring it remains an organized, useful, and engaging resource.
• Develop and manage a content pipeline with teams, surfacing information and stories with consistent sharing methods.
• Help design and implement workflows for internal communications, including how requests are submitted, prioritized, and executed.
• Develop clear, effective content to support what employees want and need to know.
• Shape and maintain a strategic internal communications calendar aligning with announcements and deadlines.
• Partner with departments and leadership to turn information into usable communication.
• Manage internal communications workflow from intake through execution, clarifying requests and ensuring follow-through.
• Monitor and measure effectiveness through feedback and data analysis, adjusting approach over time.
