Job summary

Pine Street Inn is seeking an internal communications specialist who will develop and execute multi‑channel internal communications strategies to inspire and inform more than 700 staff across 40 locations.

The ideal candidate writes and edits content for newsletters, SharePoint and email, partners with senior leadership, and helps drive recruitment and engagement while managing multiple projects in a fast‑paced nonprofit environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in communications or a related field.
• 2–3 years of experience in communications with a focus on internal communications or PR.
• Proven ability to develop and execute internal campaigns.
• Analytical and metrics-focused with familiarity with analytics.
• Exceptional writing, editing and proofreading skills.
• Ability to collaborate with a diverse, multi-location workforce.
• Proficiency with SharePoint and Microsoft Office; knowledge of Claude or similar is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute an internal communications strategy across channels.
• Serve as project manager for complex internal initiatives.
• Write, edit and distribute engaging content for newsletters, updates, and spotlights.
• Manage SharePoint content and improve user experience.
• Monitor metrics and report on initiative performance.
• Coordinate with departments and leadership to share timely information.
• Support employee engagement surveys and research efforts.
• Provide crisis communication support when needed.
