Anthropic is seeking an Internal Communications Manager to partner with Core Tech teams building and securing Claude. You’ll translate complex, technical work into clear narratives for employees and leaders, shaping messaging during launches, incidents, and org changes.

Qualifications

• 8–12 years of experience in communications or adjacent craft such as journalism, speechwriting, chief of staff, or strategy and operations.
• Exceptional writing with ability to distill technical decisions and cross-functional projects into simple, compelling narratives.
• Experience advising senior leaders and building trusted relationships across the org.
• Ability to embed with engineers and security practitioners and earn their trust.
• Ability to see the big picture and connect updates to company strategy and mission.
• Keen eye for organizational culture and authentic moments worth amplifying.

Responsibilities

• Own the internal communications strategy for your portfolio within Core Tech, becoming an expert in the team's work and a trusted member of its leadership team.
• Serve as a hands-on advisor to executives—help them shape what to say, when, and in whose voice.
• Translate deeply technical work into narratives that land with employees across function while preserving substance.
• Get creative about connecting people to the work beyond slides or decks.
• Anticipate communications needs for launches, incidents, or organizational changes and plan accordingly.
• Boost signal, reduce noise, and ensure employees understand what’s important and what it means for them.
• Plan and execute internal fora like all-hands and AMAs with operational excellence.
• Exercise sound judgment with sensitive material, especially around security work.
• Partner with the broader internal communications team to cascade updates across channels.
