CarGurus is seeking an Internal Communications & Employer Brand Intern in Boston, MA for a full-time summer internship. You’ll work with Internal Communications and Employer Brand teams to craft stories for candidates and employees, and support social media, content planning, and storytelling across channels.
You’ll learn about audience-focused content, measurement, and collaboration with Talent Acquisition and other teams while contributing to the candidate and employee experience.

You’ll work alongside our Internal Communications and Employer Brand teams to create content, support communications, and learn how thoughtful storytelling can strengthen connection, engagement, and our candidate experience
This full-time opportunity (40 hours per week) runs from June through August 2027. CarGurus operates on a hybrid working model, and candidates should expect to work out of our Boston, MA office 60% of the time (approximately three days per week).
Support the planning and maintenance of social media and internal communications editorial calendars.
Research, draft, edit, and publish engaging content for channels such as LinkedIn, Instagram, careers sites, and internal communication platforms
Help tell stories about our culture, Gurus, workplace, and innovative work across the candidate and employee journeys
Support employee advocacy by helping collect stories, coordinate approvals, and amplify employee activity and accomplishments.
Monitor and respond to appropriate employee and candidate comments, questions, and reviews, escalating issues to the right stakeholders when needed.
Support employee and workplace award submissions, announcements, and related communications.
Assist with communications around company-wide initiatives, including Town Halls and other employee programs.
Track content, platform, and email performance; organize results and help identify insights and opportunities for improvement.
Support content management and data organization to keep communications resources accurate, accessible, and up to date.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams—including Talent Acquisition, People & Talent, and External Communications—to deliver communications aligned with company goals.
Currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Communications, Marketing, Public Relations, Journalism or a related field, with eligibility to complete a full-time internship.
Exceptionally strong writing, editing, and proofreading skills with excellent attention to detail.
Interest in employer branding, internal communications, social media, recruiting, or employee engagement.
Ability to create clear and compelling content for different audiences and channels.
Strong organizational and project coordination skills, with the ability to manage details and meet deadlines.
Analytical curiosity and an interest in using data to improve communications.
A collaborative, proactive approach and enthusiasm for learning in a fast-paced environment.
Familiarity with social media, content management systems, email marketing, or analytics tools is a plus.
Experience with tools such as LinkedIn, Instagram, Hootsuite, Sprout Social, Sprinklr, or similar platforms is a plus.
The displayed range represents the expected hourly rate for this position.
