Job summary

Protiviti’s Liftoff internship program offers hands-on experience across Business Process Audit and Technology Audit, with onboarding and The Intern Challenge experiential learning.

You will work with teams on client projects, develop technical and leadership skills, and engage in internal initiatives across industries, including cybersecurity, data governance, and automation technologies.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Accounting, CS, Data Science, Engineering, Finance, Information Systems, IT, MIS, or related fields.
Authorization to work in the United States for Protiviti without sponsorship now or in the future.
Must be within one year of final graduation at internship time.
Must be 18 years of age at internship.
Demonstrated proficiency in applying AI tools to analytical tasks (Microsoft Copilot, GenAI).
Advanced verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to apply critical thinking and innovation to client engagements.
Technical proficiency aligned with the assigned capability area.
Ability to work effectively in teams and independently.
Strong academic background.
Interest in obtaining professional certifications.
Understanding of internal audit processes, emerging technologies, frameworks, and audit objectives.
Experience handling and analyzing data in various formats.
Experience with Microsoft Office and Power BI.
Entry-level proficiency in software development practices.
Interest in analytics and automation technologies (Alteryx, MS Power Platform, Python).
Effective use of AI tools with human judgment in the loop.
Background check clearance required.

Participate in committees, employee networks, and networking activities.
Work in local Protiviti offices and on client sites, with possible local travel.

Help clients meet regulatory and compliance requirements and improve process efficiency and effectiveness
Monitor and test controls, enhance security, and improve corporate governance
Assess and advise on cybersecurity, AI risk, data governance, cloud, privacy, software development, technology resilience, and technology governance
Participate in committees, employee network groups, and social, civic, and networking activities
Work in local Protiviti offices and on client sites, with possible local or out-of-state travel

Requirements

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a relevant discipline, such as Accounting, Computer Science, Data Science, Engineering, Finance, Information Systems, Information Technology, Management Information Systems, or related fields

Must be within one year of final graduation at the time of internship
Must be 18 years of age at the time of the internship
