Job summary

FirstHealth of the Carolinas is seeking a staff RN for a 12-week assignment in the 12-bed Reid unit, focusing on intermediate and cardiac care. You will provide bedside nursing, monitor telemetry, titrate drips, and support patients with complex cardiac conditions in a fast-paced environment.

Valid NC RN license or Compact State license is required, with BCLS and ACLS certifications, and at least 1 year of telemetry or ICU experience.

Qualifications

• Valid NC RN License or Compact State RN License required.
• 1 year experience in Telemetry, Intermediate Care, OR, Cath Lab or other specialty area required.
• BCLS required. ACLS required.

Responsibilities

• Staff RN on 12-week assignment, working 72 hours per pay period, in 2 Reid unit (intermediate care) with patients having moderate to severe medical/cardiac diagnoses.
• Titrate drips as needed, monitor cardiac status, and assist with bedside procedures as required.

2Reid is a 12-bed intermediate care unit specializing in the care of patients with moderate to severe medical and cardiac diagnoses such as sepsis, acute respiratory failure, diabetic ketoacidosis, NSTEMI, atrial fibrillation/flutter and CHF. Nurses on this unit utilize a broad skill set, initiate and titrate drips that require cardiac monitoring and assist with bedside procedures such as transesophageal echocardiograms and cardioversions.
