Job summary

Knight Automotive Group seeks an Internal Service Advisor to manage repair and reconditioning of its own used car inventory. You will coordinate with sales, service, and lot teams to keep vehicles moving, communicate clearly, and uphold high standards for quality and safety on every car that goes to the lot.

Qualifications

• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
• Experience in automotive service advising, service writing, or dealership operations preferred.
• Dependable, punctual, and focused on quality and presentation of every vehicle.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary advisor for internal used vehicle repair and reconditioning work orders.
• Coordinate with technicians and shop management to prioritize and schedule internal vehicles.
• Document required repairs, maintenance, and cosmetic needs after walkarounds.
• Track work order status and communicate progress to the used car and sales teams.
• Review technician recommendations and obtain approvals for repair costs within guidelines.
• Ensure reconditioning meets quality and safety standards before vehicles go to the lot.
• Partner with vendors and parts teams to source materials and manage turnaround times.
• Maintain accurate records of costs, labor, and completed work for each vehicle.
• Identify opportunities to improve reconditioning workflows and reduce time-to-lot.
