Job summary

Micron Technology, Inc. in Boise, Idaho invites students to join the Yield Technology RAM internship to support process engineering, Real-Time Defect Analysis (RDA), and Metrology in a semiconductor fab environment.

You will gain hands-on experience in data collection, analysis, and tool support while contributing to an AI-focused internship project and collaborating with engineers to improve processes and documentation.

Qualifications

• Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s, Master’s, or Ph.D. degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Materials Science, Chemical Engineering, Chemistry, Physics, Data Science, or a related technical field.
• Cannot graduate prior to September 2027.
• Ability to approach technical problems with curiosity and develop data-based recommendations using AI where applicable.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools (PowerPoint, Word, Excel, OneNote) and interest in learning data analysis, automation, and AI-enabled productivity tools.
• Ability to work safely in a fast-paced manufacturing environment and follow fab, cleanroom, quality, and safety requirements.

Responsibilities

• Complete onboarding, safety training, certifications, and learning events to build foundational knowledge of Micron systems, fab operations, RDA, and Metrology workflows.
• Support Fab 4 Process Development Engineering, Process Integration, RDA, and Metrology teams with data collection, basic analysis, tool support, and documentation.
• Review workflows and measurement setups under guidance of experienced engineers and technicians.
• Provide supervised support for SEM, defect review, and incoming fab requests, including tracking and summarizing results.
• Assist with analysis for Fab 4 Yield Engineering related to DRAM and emerging memory development.
