Job summary

Northrop Grumman is seeking Engineers to join the Aeronautics Systems Sector Intern Program. This position will be on-site in Melbourne, FL.

The qualified candidate will become part of Northrop Grumman's Systems Engineering directorate. As an intern, you'll participate in a summer internship program to develop competencies in a variety of Systems Engineering specializations that may include: MBSE, Requirements Engineering, Modeling & Simulation Engineering, Human Factors Engineering,

Qualifications

• Be enrolled full-time and pursuing an undergraduate or graduate degree from an accredited college/university AND graduating after August 2026.
• Be majoring in Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Physics, Systems Engineering, or other related STEM related field
• Be available to work full-time (40 hours per week) for at least 10 weeks during summer 2027
• Be able to obtain and maintain a U.S. Government security clearance (U.S. citizenship is a pre-requisite) as well as Program Special access within a reasonable period of time, as determined by the company to meet its business needs (U.S. citizenship is a pre-requisite).

Responsibilities

• Perform system engineering activities for all levels of a total system product, including concept, design, fabrication, test, installation, operation, and maintenance.
• Works with other system, software, hardware, test, and quality teams to coordinate and integrate the development process and engineering efforts
• Learn to systematically integrate, assemble, and verify lower-level system elements into successively higher-level system elements, until the system itself is realized in its entirety
