Job summary

AB Volvo in Greensboro, NC offers an internship in the Convention Truck Range Program Management Office. You will support Chief Project Managers, interact with multiple areas, and learn how Volvo manages projects throughout the lifecycle.

You will gain experience in project documentation, data analysis, and reporting using PowerBI, PowerPoint, and Excel, while reporting to the PMO Director. Housing assistance and career opportunities are available.

Qualifications

  • Must be enrolled and pursuing a degree in Business/Engineering or related program and have completed 30 semester hours of undergraduate studies.
  • Applicants must have a minimum cumulative GPA of 2.75.
  • Co-ops are not enrolled in courses during their co-op rotation and may work up to 40 hours per week.

Responsibilities

  • Document and follow up on critical actions from project meetings.
  • Support updating and maintaining project documents (risk register, lessons learned log, project deliverables tracking, SharePoint, etc.).
  • Create reports and data visualizations to help management track progress, risks, and gaps.
  • Work with other business areas to ensure information in reports and tracking documents is up-to-date.
  • Support updating and maintaining project time plans.
  • Assist with meeting project milestones.
  • Support data analysis/analytics and presentations in PowerBI, PowerPoint, Excel.
  • Own and execute special project(s) as assigned.

What You will be doing

As an Intern in theConvention Truck Range -Program Management Officeyou will support Chief Project Managers launch Volvo projects. You will interact with many different areas of the company and learn the details of how projects are managed within Volvo.You willwork withvarious typesof projects and data throughout the project lifecycle.Volvo values collaboration and life-longlearningand our goal is to contribute to your development whileprovidingyou an opportunity to work in a business environment within the manufacturing industry. You will report to the Program Management Office Director.

Who You Are

You are a student that is prepared to work in a challenging and fast-paced environment, gaining experience and knowledge in various aspects of project management and project support in addition to engineering (or mechanical, electrical, software, design, production, etc.). As a valued member of the Program Office team within Conventional Trucks Range TTI, you will have the opportunity to work directly with the experienced project managers in the department and with all areas of the company (engineering, purchasing, operations, sales, aftermarket etc.).

Required:

The hourly rate for these roles is determined by several factors including, but not limited to, geographic location, academic classification, and degree seeking area of study.
