Job summary

Micron in Boise, Idaho, is seeking a highly motivated graduate student or early-career researcher to contribute to CMP process development and optimization. Qualifications

• M.S. or Ph.D. in Chemical Engineering, Chemistry, Materials Science or related STEM field, expected graduation after Sep 2027.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills demonstrated in academics or research.
• Ability to work independently with multiple priorities and deadlines.
• Experience creating technical presentations, reports, and research documentation.
• Working knowledge of organic, inorganic, surface chemistry, electrochemistry, or materials science.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with engineering teams to develop CMP processes, chemistries, and hardware platforms for future semiconductor technology nodes.
• Conduct fundamental research, process characterization, and data analysis to support development and optimization activities.
• Assist with projects aimed at improving process capability, productivity, and contamination control.
• Utilize AI-enabled tools to analyze data, improve workflows, and support decisions.
• Prepare and present technical reports and recommendations to engineering and research teams.
