Job summary

The FAIRWINDS Credit Union IT Desktop Technician Intern in Orlando offers hands-on, frontline desktop support within the Information Technology Services team. The 20-hour weekly, in-office internship starts January 11th, 2026, with a $15/hour compensation and flexible schedules to fit your school commitments.

You will assist with device imaging and deployment, troubleshoot common issues, and gain exposure to IT service management while supporting a mission-driven organization that serves members

Qualifications

• Enrolled in IT, CS, or information systems program.
• Basic understanding of Windows operating systems and common apps.
• Interest in hardware and troubleshooting.
• Strong communication and service mindset.
• Able to follow instructions and learn quickly.
• Reliable and organized when handling confidential information.

Responsibilities

• Provide basic desktop and end-user support under guidance from IT staff.
• Assist with setup, imaging, and deployment of laptops, desktops, and peripherals.
• Troubleshoot common hardware, software, printer, and connectivity issues.
• Support onboarding and offboarding by preparing and collecting equipment.
• Assist with ticket documentation and tracking in an IT service management system.
• Help maintain IT inventory and asset records.
• Shadow IT team members to learn troubleshooting techniques and best practices.
• Contribute to basic documentation and knowledge base updates.

Your Role In Our Mission

• Provide basic desktop and end‑user support under the guidance of experienced IT professionals
