Job summary

FAIRWINDS Credit Union in Orlando is offering a 20-hour-per-week IT Desktop Technician Intern role in-office starting January 11, 2026, at $15 per hour. This hands-on internship supports frontline IT services while you learn how enterprise IT teams operate.

You will assist with desktop imaging, end-user support, asset tracking, onboarding/offboarding, and documentation, under supervision. Ideal for students in IT programs seeking real-world experience.

Qualifications

• Enrolled in IT-related degree or certificate program.
• Basic understanding of Windows operating systems and common applications.
• Interest in hardware, troubleshooting, and customer support.
• Strong communication and service-oriented mindset.
• Ability to follow instructions and learn quickly.
• Reliable, organized and able to handle confidential information.

Responsibilities

• Provide basic desktop and end-user support under the guidance of experienced IT professionals.
• Assist with setup, imaging, and deployment of laptops, desktops, and peripherals.
• Troubleshoot common hardware, software, printer, and connectivity issues.
• Support employee onboarding and offboarding by preparing and collecting equipment.
• Assist with ticket documentation and tracking in an IT service management system.
• Help maintain IT inventory and asset records.
• Shadow IT team members to learn troubleshooting techniques and best practices.
• Contribute to basic documentation and knowledge base updates.

This is a 20-hour per week, in-office internship opportunity that beings January 11th, 2026 and offers $15 per hour in compensation. We also offer flexible schedules to accommodate your school schedule, as well!

Your Role in Our Mission:

• Provide basic desktop and end‑user support under the guidance of experienced IT professionals
