Job summary

Energy Transfer Partners, L.P. invites motivated Engineering Interns for its summer program in Houston. You'll gain hands-on experience in underground hydrocarbon storage projects and support Operations, Engineering, and Commercial teams.

Ideal candidates are undergraduate Petroleum Engineering students with strong communication, attention to detail, and willingness to travel. Proficiency in MS Office is a plus, and you must be able to work independently in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Enrolled in an undergraduate Petroleum Engineering or related engineering program.
• General requirements include self-motivated individuals and involvement in activities outside college studies.

Responsibilities

• Familiarize with underground hydrocarbon storage in reservoirs and caverns.
• Assist with technical guidance to Operations, Engineering, Commercial and Legal for design, implementation, monitoring, and troubleshooting of underground storage assets.
• Assist with regulatory filings as required.
• Participate in new underground storage facility design and commissioning.
• Assist in the preparation of designs for facility modifications and incorporation of new equipment.

We are looking for a motivated, dynamic, personable, and professional Engineering Interns for our summer programto join our team!

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• The main objective for the intern is to become familiar with the underground hydrocarbon storage in both reservoirs andcaverns.
• Assist with technical expertise and guidance to Operations, Engineering, Commercial and Legal for the design,implementation, monitoring, and troubleshooting of the Company’s underground hydrocarbon storage assets.
• Assist with various regulatory filings as required
• Participate in new underground hydrocarbon storage facility design and commissioning
• Assist in the preparation of designs for facility modifications and incorporation of new equipment

Requirements:

Education and/or Experience, Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential job duty satisfactorily. The requirements for this position are listed below:

• Enrolled in an undergraduate in Petroleum Engineering or other engineering degree with adequate petroleum engineeringexperience.
• General requirements include self-motivated individuals, involvement inactivities outside college studies.
