IMEG is seeking a Civil Engineering Intern for a 10-12 week summer program in Manassas, VA. You will work with experienced engineers on design, field inspections, reports, permits, and site drainage, gaining hands-on experience across transportation and municipal projects.

Qualifications

• Completed at least 2 years towards a Bachelor of Science (BS) Degree in Civil Engineering, or equivalent required.
• Strong interest in design consulting and civil engineering.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office, CAD software and BIM.

Responsibilities

• Assist with design portions of projects according to code and IMEG standards.
• Assist with researching resources for commercially available equipment.
• Assist with client relations, project design notebook activities, and documentation for permanent records.

IMEG is hiring a Civil Engineering Intern in Manassas, VA to work closely with experienced engineers and consultants on engineering analysis, design, field inspections, report writing, permit applications, site drainage and grading designs, and learning the civil engineering trade. Over 10-12 weeks, you will gain hands‑on experience supporting real project work. You will also help the team work within project monetary budgets and collaborate with cross‑functional teams to meet project goals and client expectations. The team you would join supports transportation and municipal work and brings a broad Northern Virginia civil practice with experience across data center, industrial, education, survey, ALTA, and SUE work, delivering resilient, environmentally responsible infrastructure.

State of Virginia Pay Range: $21.00-$25.00 per hour

The range listed above represents the base pay IMEG reasonably and in good faith expects to pay for this position in the work location identified above at the time of posting. For positions available in multiple locations, the minimums and maximums may vary based on work location. Individual compensation will be determined based on job‑related factors, including the candidate’s experience, education, knowledge, skills, abilities, and licensure and certifications.
