Job summary

Inter Miami CF is offering the Number 10 Internship for aspiring software engineers. The internship supports the development of internal applications, tools and technology solutions, with front-end and back-end work, paid part-time during the 2027 Sprint Season in Miami.

You will write clean code in PHP, Java, JavaScript or Python, develop integrations between systems, and collaborate with the BI team to improve data accessibility and business operations across the club.

Qualifications

• In-progress or recent degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Systems, or related field.
• Knowledge of front-end and back-end development and software development principles.
• Experience or coursework with PHP, Java, JavaScript, Python, or similar.
• Familiarity with SQL, relational databases, APIs, and web app development.
• Understanding of HTML, CSS, JavaScript and modern web development concepts.
• Git/version control experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Support design, development, testing, and maintenance of internal web apps and tools.
• Contribute to both front-end and back-end development.
• Write clean, efficient, maintainable code in PHP, Java, JavaScript, or similar.
• Develop and maintain integrations between internal apps, databases, APIs, and third-party systems.
• Work with SQL and relational databases to manage data for internal apps.
• Troubleshoot and improve existing applications and technical solutions.

• Support documentation, testing, deployment, and ongoing maintenance of internally developed apps.
• Research and apply software development best practices and emerging technologies.

Position Summary

Inter Miami CF is looking for an Intern, Software Engineer to support the development of internal applications, tools, and technology solutions. This role will contribute to both front‑end and back‑end development, helping build scalable solutions that improve internal processes, data accessibility, and business operations across the organization. This is a paid, part‑time internship within our Number 10 Internship program for the 2027 Sprint Season cohort.

Responsibilities

• Support the design, development, testing, and maintenance of internal web applications and tools.
• Contribute to both front‑end and back‑end development.
• Write clean, efficient, and maintainable code using PHP, Java, JavaScript, or similar programming languages.
• Develop and maintain integrations between internal applications, databases, APIs, and third‑party systems.
• Work with SQL and relational databases to retrieve, manage, and structure data used by internal applications.
• Troubleshoot, debug, and improve existing applications and technical solutions.
• Collaborate with the BI team and other departments to understand business needs and translate them into technical solutions.
• Support the documentation, testing, deployment, and ongoing maintenance of internally developed applications.
• Research and apply software development best practices and emerging technologies.

Requirements

• Currently pursuing an undergraduate or graduate degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Systems or a related field, or recently graduated from a related program
• Knowledge of front‑end and back‑end development and general software development principles
• Experience or coursework using programming languages such as PHP, Java, JavaScript, Python, or similar
• Familiarity with SQL, relational databases, APIs, and web application development
• Understanding of HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and modern web development concepts
• Familiarity with Git/version control and software development workflows is a plus
• Strong problem‑solving skills and attention to detail
• Bilingual (English and Spanish) fluency is a plus
• Passion for fútbol is a plus
