Job summary

Johns Hopkins Applied Physics Laboratory (APL) seeks interns in communications and network engineering to join a multi-disciplinary team tackling government-level networking challenges. You will design, build, and characterize wired and wireless networks, contribute to software tools, and gain exposure to rapid prototyping, testing, and field evaluations.

Ideal candidates are enrolled in a Bachelor’s, Master’s, or PhD program in Electrical/Computer Engineering or Computer Science, with a 3.0

Qualifications

• Enrolled in Bachelor's, Master's, or Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or related technical degree.
• Ability to communicate effectively with team and project manager, including technical writing and presentations.
• Self-motivated, able to work on a team and independently when needed.
• Interest in networking technologies, software development, and/or communication systems.
• Willingness to work hands-on in lab and field tests/evaluations.
• Have a 3.0 GPA on a 4.0 scale.
• Eligible for Interim Top Secret clearance by start date and Top Secret clearance ultimately; U.S. citizenship required.
