What You Will Do

We are looking for a full‑time Design Engineer to join our growing Orlando team. This position will design structural systems for a variety of construction types in industries such as manufacturing, distribution, data centers, commercial, industrial, and parking.

Responsibilities
  • Work directly with Project Manager/Engineer of Record in the development of project design, calculations, and assessment reports.
  • Perform analysis of existing structures.
  • Develop drawings or specifications for use during construction and ensure all projects comply with applicable codes and regulations.
  • Assist in project coordination and meetings with internal and external team members.
  • Review project submittals and shop drawings.
  • Visit projects during construction to learn construction practices and provide on‑site construction observation.
  • Organize field data to facilitate analysis and problem solving.
  • Interact with higher level engineers and design technicians.
  • Attend client, architect, and contractor meetings.
  • Learn to engage with potential clients to expand business relationships.
  • Perform calculations per design specifications and industry standards.
  • Utilize structural design software, such as RAM Structural Systems, ETBAS, SAFE, SAP, RAM Elements, and TEKLA.
  • Share information across all disciplines to confirm deliverables are compliant with client expectations and established quality standards.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s in Civil Engineering with 1‑3 years of related experience or Master’s in Civil Engineering.
  • Proficient knowledge and experience using Revit and/or AutoCAD.
  • EIT preferred.
Skills And Competencies
  • Strong communication skills required.
  • Self‑starter with the ability to work with minimal supervision; willingness to take on additional responsibilities.
  • Effective in an entrepreneurial culture, working independently and as part of a team.
