Job summary

ConGlobal is hiring for an Intermodal Equipment Operator (Terminal Operator) in Louisville, KY. You will load, unload, and relocate shipping containers within the intermodal yard using hostlers, cranes, top loaders, and side loaders.

The role requires a valid driver’s license, ability to work outdoors in all weather, and lifting up to 50 lbs. Training will be provided and there are opportunities for advancement within a full-time schedule that includes weekends and holidays.

Qualifications

• Experience operating heavy equipment in logistics or industrial settings preferred.
• Strong safety focus and attention to detail.
• Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions.
• Willing to work weekends and holidays.
• Basic communication and teamwork skills.
• Lift up to 50 lbs and climb ladders/stairs on equipment.
• Must have a valid driver’s license and pass pre-employment checks.

Responsibilities

• Operate heavy equipment to load/unload shipping containers from railcars and trucks.
• Drive hostlers to position containers and chassis within the yard.
• Use top loaders, side loaders, or cranes to move and stack containers.
• Perform Groundman duties during training period and assist with maintenance tasks.
• Conduct equipment inspections before and after use for safety.
• Communicate with yard personnel to coordinate moves and tasks.
• Maintain a safe working environment by following procedures.
