Job summary

ConGlobal is hiring as an Intermodal Equipment Operator to safely move shipping containers within our intermodal yard. You will operate hostlers, cranes, top loaders, and side loaders to load, unload, and relocate containers, ensuring timely freight movements.

The role requires outdoor work in all weather, strong safety focus, and the ability to work weekends/holidays with open availability. Training period includes Groundman duties and equipment inspections.

Qualifications

• Experience operating heavy equipment in logistics or industrial settings preferred.
• Must pass pre-employment background check, physical exam, and drug screening.
• Valid driver’s license required.
• Open availability; including weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Operate heavy equipment to load/unload containers from railcars and trucks.
• Drive hostlers to position containers within the yard.
• Use top loaders, side loaders, or cranes to stack and relocate containers.
• Perform Groundman duties during training period and assist with railroad maintenance tasks.
• Inspect equipment before and after use to ensure safety.
• Coordinate moves with yard personnel and supervisors.
• Maintain a safe work environment by following procedures.
