Job summary

Amazon’s Intermodal (AZIM) Operations team seeks Transportation Specialists to ensure on-time pickup and delivery across the 1P network. You will manage daily external partner communications, analyze performance data, and drive process improvements in intermodal workflows from rail to road.

Ideal candidates have Excel proficiency and experience handling large data sets, with 1+ years in logistics or related fields.

Qualifications

• High school or equivalent diploma.
• Knowledge of Excel at an intermediate level (pivot tables, charts, lookups, data cleansing).
• Experience managing large data sets and using data to drive performance improvements.
• 1+ years of program management, logistics, operations, supply chain, transportation, or equivalent experience.
• Bachelor's degree.

Responsibilities

• Maintain daily communication with external partners and internal stakeholders to ensure seamless intermodal execution.
• Create weekly business narratives outlining intermodal performance and present findings in leadership forums.
• Pull and analyze data from internal databases (SQL, Excel) to monitor utilization and performance metrics.
• Lead process improvement initiatives to re-engineer intermodal workflows and drive root cause elimination.
• Resolve real-time disruptions while minimizing customer impact in a fast-paced environment.
• Escalate system issues and data variances to technology and program teams and ensure timely resolution.
• Develop and own intermodal KPIs to drive operational excellence and financial outcomes.
• Lead and develop a team of operations associates through coaching and performance management.
• Partner with transportation technology teams to scope requirements for tool enhancements.
• Support new lane launches, shipper onboarding, and capacity planning in coordination with Sales and Supply Chain.
