Job summary

CSX Intermodal Terminals, Inc. (CSXIT) seeks ISEs to safely perform loading, unloading, and securement of freight for train movement across the TDSI network.

Responsibilities include equipment inspection, responsible handling of heavy goods, and operating vehicles with varying clearances in outdoor yard settings. The role requires completing safety training and working within a unionized environment under a collective bargaining agreement.

Qualifications

• Basic mathematical ability and numeracy for handling counts and measurements.
• Fundamental computer skills for data entry and record keeping.

• Ability to understand oral and written communications.

Responsibilities

• Load, unload, secure, and inventory freight on rail equipment and vehicles.
• Ascend/descend rail cars and operate shuttle van for personnel moves.
• Inspect and document equipment for condition; report damages prior to unloading.
• Move motor vehicles on/off multi-level railcars with limited clearance; use ladders up to 16 ft.
• Raise/lower bridge plates, decks, and ramps at elevated heights; open/close end doors on railcars.
