Gulf Winds International, Inc. is seeking a Dispatcher to join our Operations team across multiple terminals (Houston, DFW, Memphis, Mobile, Savannah, Charleston, Norfolk, Baltimore). The role focuses on timely, accurate service for drivers and customers, load distribution, and cost control.

Strong communication, problem solving, and logistics experience are essential for success. This position reports to the Terminal Manager and requires a high school diploma or GED, with residence in a GWI

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Must live in a GWI market area.
• Strong organizational and written communication skills.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Experience in logistics or intermodal operations preferred.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate load distribution to ensure Independent Contractor satisfaction.
• Support driver retention and growth through strong relationships.
• Collaborate with Safety, Driver Recruitment, Customer Service, and Sales.
• Promote safety and quality through Operational Excellence.
• Execute daily workload to meet customer requirements and service targets.
• Track Gulf Winds equipment utilization and availability.
• Cross-train to cover workload when Terminal Manager is out.
• Propose solutions to challenges and optimize processes.
• Manage costs to improve terminal profitability and reduce customer costs.
• Maintain facility cleanliness and stocking of supplies.
• Monitor quarterly KPIs to support company goals.
