Job summary

Mark-It Express is seeking a local Customer Service Representative to support a team of drivers in the Chicago region from our Lemont, IL terminal. The role emphasizes intermodal coordination, rail tracing, appointment setting, and strong communication with dispatch and drivers.

You will use Profit Tools and Microsoft Office to track shipments, update schedules, and enforce policies. No remote work; on-site position with opportunities to grow in a fast-paced logistics environment.

Qualifications

• 1+ years of Intermodal Customer Service experience preferred or related experience.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office apps (Teams, Outlook, Excel).
• Strong work ethic with a professional, positive attitude.
• Ability to organize, prioritize, multi-task, and meet deadlines.
• Ability to adapt to changing organizational and operational needs.
• Experience using Profit Tools is a big plus.

Responsibilities

• Assist in rail tracing and appointment setting for import/export shipments.
• Collaborate with functional groups to meet operational goals.
• Support leadership and guidance to drivers through effective communication.
• Enforce company and customer policies and disseminate information to the team.
• Support driver schedule management by coordinating with dispatchers.
• Provide input on route design and help resolve operational issues.
• Perform other administrative duties as assigned.
