Role-Intermediate Technical Trainer/Instructional Designer -

Overview:

  • Clientis seeking a skilled Technical Trainer / Instructional Designer to joinour team to support the implementation of and ongoing training for ChildCare Financial Assistance (CCFA)software applications managed bythe Department of Early Education and Care (EEC).
  • Theideal candidate will have experience documenting and explaining complextechnical concepts in clear, accessible language for diverse audiences,including those whose first language is not English, and preferably with abackground in public benefits systems.
  • Thisrole demands a strong foundation in adult learning theory and the abilityto deliver engaging training both in person and online.
Requirements

Duties andResponsibilities:

  • Develop,design, deliver, and maintain training programs that explain CCFA softwarefeatures and workflows to diverse audiences, including families, childcare providers, collateral agencies that support the child care financialassistance process, and EEC staff.
  • Translatetechnical jargon into understandable terms for non-technical users.
  • Adapttraining content for individuals with limited English proficiency.
  • Facilitatelive training sessions (in-person and virtual) with confidence andclarity.
  • Collaboratewith stakeholders to assess training needs and measure effectiveness.
  • Useadult learning principles to create engaging and effective educationalmaterials.
  • Manageand triage tickets using ServiceNow, providing frontline technical supportand escalating issues as needed.
  • Developon-demand, self-paced training modules using Microsoft 365 tools (e.g.,Word, PowerPoint, Teams), GoToMeeting, and Zoom with modularity andaccessibility in mind.

Required Skills,Knowledge, and Abilities:

  • Proficiency in Articulate or similar e-learningauthoring tools for creating on-demand training content.
  • Provenexperience in technical training or education roles, with the ability toexplain technical information clearly to Client audiences.
  • Strongskills in designing, developing, and maintaining learning artifacts suchas training manuals, job aids, user guides, and e-learning content.
  • Familiarity with adult learning theory andinstructional design best practices.
  • Comfortand skill in delivering training both in-person and via online platforms.
  • Experience working with diverse populations, includingthose whose first language is not English.
  • Stronginterpersonal and communication skills.
  • Familiaritywith ServiceNow or similar ticketing systems for managing technicalsupport.
  • Knowledgeof fiscal systems, including understanding of budgeting, financialworkflows, or payment processing related to public benefits or governmentprograms.
  • Experienceinintegrating fiscal concepts into training materials fornon-financial audiences.

Preferred Skills,Knowledge, and Abilities:

  • Experience with public benefits systems, ideally withinearly child care, education, health and human services, or relatedsectors.
  • Experienceusing content management systems (CMS) to organize, update, and distributetraining materials efficiently.
  • Experience working within federal, state, or localgovernment agencies.
  • Experienceusing Jira for end-to-end tracking of tasks, sprints and releases,ensuring timely delivery and process transparency
  • Experienceleading cross functional teams including planning, timeline management,stakeholder communication, and coordination of resources in Agileenvironments.
  • Experiencefacilitating Scrum and Agile ceremonies (stand-ups, sprint planning,retrospectives) and coaching teams on Agile principlesfor continuousimprovement and increased productivity.
